Academic Works

I'm going to be putting these up as I find time. I have lots of things written, so it's mainly just a matter of formatting them for the web, but it's not a priority for me right now (as I'm sure you can understand). In any case, browse around and see what's here. Just please note that these are copyrighted, and I hope (and assume) they won't be used for plagiaristic purposes.

Library Science

I received an MS in Library Science from Florida State University. It was interesting, since so many of the classes were so different from any of the other course work I'd done. I think Library Science gets underestimated by many--many people don't seem to know about the amount of learning a true librarian needs to have.

English

As you've seen on my site, one of my undergraduate majors was English. I also received a masters degree in English from Brigham Young University. Naturally, this means that I've written quite a few papers on various subjects. Right now, those papers are sitting on my hard drive, gathering nothing but virtual dust. So I figured, why not spread the joy of those papers around? Let the whole world bask in the seemingly trivial topics I devoted hours of my life to. With that thought, here you are. I'll put up papers now and then when I find the time. Maybe you'll find them really boring, or maybe you'll be interested in them. I've already written them, though, so it's not like it's that hard for me to post them.

Linguistics

One of my undergraduate majors was linguistics, and I wrote a few interesting papers on the subject. I'll be putting them up over time. One disclaimer, though--some of the notation for linguistic description might not work well with browsers. I apologize in advance if anything's confusing.

Adaptation

For my English MA, I wrote my thesis on adaptations of Huckleberry Finn. Adaptation is a field near and dear to my heart, and I really enjoy any studies on the subject. I've taken numerous classes on it, written many papers, and presented at a few conferences.
